Plane lands on Beirut highway

BEIRUT, Lebanon, July 3 (UPI) -- A single-engine training plane made an emergency landing onto a southern Beirut highway Saturday, one mile from the airport.

Airport sources said an instructor and a Kuwaiti student were aboard the Cessna aircraft when the aircraft's engine malfunctioned.

No injuries were reported.

Officials were to investigate the incident, which caused a massive traffic backup.
