WASHINGTON, May 17 (UPI) -- Citzens United, a U.S. political group Monday launched a Web-based ad campaign featuring firefighters praising President George W. Bush's war on terror.
"President Bush has strengthened our security here at home, and we are proud to be doing our part," Washington-area Fire Chief Scott Graham says in the ad, which includes photos of the Sept. 11,2001, attacks. The ad also shows members of the Uniformed Firefighters Association discussing what they believe Bush has accomplished in the fight against terrorism.
"Every firefighter in the nation personally felt the tragedy on (Sept. 11) and President Bush has stood by first-responders' sides first by fighting for record-level funding and secondly promising to defeat the terrorists responsible," said David Bossie, the president of the conservative grassroots group and a 15-year volunteer firefighter.
