Third victim found, search ends

BALTIMORE, March 15 (UPI) -- Search crews Monday found the last missing victim of the March 6 water-taxi accident in Baltimore's harbor, says a report.

Official identified the body as that of 26-year-old Corinne Schillings of Northern Virginia, the Washington Post reported.

The discovery ended the 10-day search for the victims in the frigid water off Fort McHenry.

Schillings was one of 25 people aboard the Lady D when it capsized in 50-miles per hour winds.

A remote-controlled robotic submarine found Schillings's body a few hundred feet of the two bodies recovered Sunday.

The two were Andrew Roccella, 26, also of Northern Virginia, who was preparing to propose to Schillings the weekend they died; and Daniel Bentrem, 6, of Harrisonburg, Va.

Schillings was the fifth confirmed death in the accident.

JoAnn Pierce, 60, of Vineland, N.J., died the day of the accident. Her daughter, Lisa Pierce, 34, of Lyndhurst, N.J., died days later after family members asked doctors to take her off life support.

Officials believe the Lady D, a 36-foot-long water taxi, capsized in a sudden gust of wind, such as a microburst, a short distance from Fort McHenry. Most of the 25 passengers on the craft were quickly rescued by personnel from a Naval Reserve Center that was training nearby.
