Kerry camp. finds new home in Washington

WASHINGTON, March 8 (UPI) -- A dramatic increase in personnel has forced the presidential campaign of Sen. John F. Kerry, D-Mass., to move its national headquarters.

The new space, at 901 15th Street in northwest Washington, is in an office building just down the street from the White House. The campaign moved into the 40,000 sq. ft. space over the weekend from its previous home, a townhouse on Capitol Hill.

"The new headquarters will allow room for the thousands of volunteers from the area who want to be part of our efforts to defeat Bush in November," Kerry Campaign Manager Mary Beth Cahill said.
