US forces: 2 choppers crash in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- A spokeswoman for the U.S. military command in Iraq said Saturday that two Black Hawk helicopters crashed in the northern city of Mosul, 450 kilometers north of the capital, Baghdad.

She said the two choppers crashed when they collided in mid-air, but did not comment on casualties.

A military statement earlier in the day reported that one helicopter fell in Mosul, but did not give the cause of the crash nor report on casualties.
