JERUSALEM, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Actor Jason Alexander Sunday announced plans to visit Israel as early as February in an effort to promote peace in the Palestinian conflict.
In an interview with Channel 2, Alexander described himself as a "lover of Israel," and said he had last visited the country in 1991, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Alexander said he would make the trek on behalf of the One Voice peace initiative, which has also been endorsed by boxer Muhammad Ali and actors Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Edward Norton, Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman.
"One Voice is the most inspiring thing I have ever been a part of," Alexander said. "Do I think me showing up will change the mind of a homicide bomber? No, but we can give strength to the moderate voices."
