ENTEBBE, Uganda, July 11 (UPI) -- An African protester seeking access to President Bush in Uganda Friday managed to get aboard a White House aircraft.
The unidentified man was wrestled to the ground when he was found aboard the charter plane for the media, the Washington Post reported.
He was shouting angrily about South Africa when he was captured near the area White House reporters and staff worked as Bush prepared to speak nearby.
Secret Service agent Mark Sullivan said the man had no passport and no weapon when he was detained. Sullivan said the man, who had no press credentials, sneaked aboard the press charter to Entebbe and aboard the press buses to the hotel, where Bush was visiting.
"He was never a threat to the president," Sullivan said. "He was never near the president."
