Inmate charged in 'American Taliban' fight

LOS ANGELES, July 3 (UPI) -- A prison inmate has been charged with assaulting John Walker Lindh, the so-called "American Taliban," at a federal facility in Southern California.

The U.S. attorney's office said Thursday Richard Dale Morrison faces another six months in prison for his role in the March 3 incident at the prison in Victorville where Lindh is serving 20 years for providing assistance to a terrorist organization.

Lindh suffered minor injuries in the fistfight with Morrison, who is nearing completion of a 63-month stretch for setting fire to a Nevada church in 1996.
