Deal reached on Iraq resolution language

WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- The White House and the U.S. House of Representatives reached agreement Wednesday on language for a resolution authorizing the use of force against Iraq. The proposed resolution authorizes the use of U.S. armed forces to protect the United States from the threat posed by Iraq and to enforce relevant U.N. resolutions.
