Take Iraq at its word, congressmen say

WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Two U.S. congressmen visiting Baghdad said Sunday they were assured by officials that U.N. weapons inspectors would be given unfettered access to suspected weapons sites if they were to return to the country. Reps. David Bonier, D-Mich., and Jim McDermott, D-Wash., said the United States should take them at their word and allow the United Nations to do its work.
