Agriculture chief has breast cancer

WASHINGTON, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- President George W. Bush on Wednesday praised Agriculture chief Ann Veneman who has announced that she is battling breast cancer but hopes to carry out her duties during treatment. Veneman, 53, in a letter to colleagues and friends, said she has an "early and treatable" form of cancer.
