FTC to monitor gas prices more closely

LOS ANGELES, May 8 (UPI) -- Federal regulators will begin keeping a closer eye on retail gasoline prices in order to spot unusual movements sooner. Federal Trade Commission Chairman Timothy Muris said in Washington Wednesday that the agency would monitor "real time" pump prices in 360 cities for signs of developing spikes.
