The National Maritime Heritage Foundation presents Freedom Schooner Amistad, 161 years after former President John Quincy Adams went before the United States Supreme Court to defend the captured Africans of the Spanish cargo ship La Amistad, the recreation of the famous ship will ride in the waters of the nation's capital.
