Former Black Panther sentenced to life

ATLANTA, March 13 (UPI) -- An Atlanta jury has sentenced Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, known as H. Rap Brown when he was a black Panther leader in the 1960s, to life in prison for the murder of a sheriff's deputy two years ago. The jury convicted him of murder Saturday and could have sentenced him to death.
