Ex-Black Panther's life now on the line

ATLANTA, March 10 (UPI) -- Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, a Muslim cleric known for his fiery rhetoric as a Black Panther in the 1960s, has been convicted of killing a Fulton County sheriff's deputy and wounding his partner two years ago. Both prosecutors and defense lawyers are expected to call additional witnesses this week as the jurors hear evidence about whether Al-Amin should be executed or spend the rest of his life in prison.
