Controversy during Spanish debate

DALLAS, March 1 (UPI) -- One candidate's refusal to speak entirely in Spanish became an issue Friday night in an historic Spanish-language debate between the leading candidates for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in Texas. Dan Morales and Tony Sanchez were supposed to answer questions only in Spanish, but Morales decided to give his answers in both languages during the hour-long debate.
