Ex-Conn. student surrenders

FAIRFIELD, Conn., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- A former student claiming to have a bomb and taking more than two dozen students and an associate professor hostage in a classroom at Fairfield University Tuesday has been taken into custody. Authorities said the standoff began shortly after 4 p.m., when the recent graduate took over a classroom with 23 people inside.
