Senator's wife subpeonaed in Enron probe

WASHINGTON, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- A Senate panel probing Enron Corp.'s sudden collapse has subpoenaed the wife of Texas Republican Sen. Phil Gramm, Enron Director Wendy Gramm, panel sources confirmed, while a congressman Saturday asked the company some questions of his own. The Treasury Department meanwhile disclosed Robert Rubin, Clinton administration Treasury secretary and Citigroup executive, asked a department official to consider pressuring rating agencies to hold off damaging downgrades.
