Jury debates Calif. elephant abuse case

SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 21 (UPI) -- A San Jose jury began deliberations Friday afternoon in the so-called elephant abuse case against a circus animal trainer. Mark Gebel is accused of a misdemeanor for allegedly beating an elephant badly enough to draw blood during a performance in August.
