Carrier Stennis sails for Afghanistan

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- The aircraft carrier John C. Stennis was scheduled to set sail Monday for Afghanistan along with eight escort ships from San Diego and other Pacific Fleet bases. The Stennis left port two months ahead of schedule and could be on station in as little as two weeks.
