Inmate to die for killing man at age 17

HUNTSVILLE, Texas, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- A Texas death row inmate was scheduled for execution Monday for a murder he committed when he was 17 years old. The case of Gerald Lee Mitchell has not attracted the attention of other death penalty cases involving juvenile offenders.
