'The Accountant' is the No. 1 movie in North America with $24.7M

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Ben Affleck's The Accountant is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $24.7 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is Kevin Hart: What Now? with $11.98 million, followed by The Girl on the Train at No. 3 with $11.97 million, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children at No. 4 with $8.9 million and Deepwater Horizon at No. 5 with $6.4 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Storks at No. 6 with $5.6 million, The Magnificent Seven at No. 7 with $5.2 million, Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life at No. 8 with $4.3 million, Sully at No. 9 with $3 million and The Birth of a Nation at No. 10 with $2.7 million.
