Teenager Faces 2 Years Jail Time for Taking Obscene Picture With Jesus Statue

Earlier this week, a Pennsylvania teen was charged with "deseceration of a venerated object" after taking a contreversial photo of him and a Jesus statue, according to Yahoo Tech. The event took place in the boys hometown of Everett, PA in front of a Christian orginiaztion. 

According to 1972 Pennsylvania state law, which considers this crime a lewd act,  the teen could face up to two years in a juvenielle detention facility.

The Huffington Post reports that the orginal post had engaged 124 comments on Facebook. Comments ranged from encouragement all the way to rage. 

It's probably not likely that the teen will recieve a full two years of jail time, but it's highly likely the community will have a different prespective of him.
