Nov. 20 (UPI) -- A suicide bombing at a Kabul wedding hall left dozens dead Tuesday during a celebration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, health officials said.
The Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish told Khaama Press the blast went off inside the Oranus Hotel. A wedding also was being held at the time the bomb went off around 6:20 p.m.
Danish said the bomber walked into the gathering during a reading of the Koran and blew himself up.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
"The terrorists that have carried out this attack have committed an unforgivable crime," Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said. "This criminal act is against Islamic laws."
