June 1 (UPI) -- Bosnia's Damir Dzumhur had an unfortunate run-in with a ball boy Friday at the French Open.

Dzumhur was battling Alexander Zverev in the fourth set of his round of 32 loss on Court Philippe-Chartrier in Paris. He hit a return shot into the seats, but the ball bounced back in his direction.

The ball boy was standing to Dzumhur's right, just of the court. He came flying in to grab the ball. But Dzumhur was also staring at the ball and waiting for it to come down. The ball boy sprinted directly into Dzumhur and immediately fell back onto the clay court.

The boy was briefly shaken up but eventually helped to his feet. Dzumhur gave him an embrace and sent him on his way.

The Tennis Channel tweeted an update, saying that the boy is okay.

Zverev won the match 6-2, 3-6, 4-6, 7-6, 5-7. The German faces Kevin Anderson in the round of 32 on Saturday at Roland Garros.

"It was a very tight match," Zverev told reporters. "It's normal that there was a lot of nerves involved. But in that moment it's all about finding a way. Even when you aren't playing your best it's always about finding a way to win and finding the right solution to the right moment."
