LONDON, July 6 (UPI) -- In their 26th career meet up, Serena Williams, 33, proved to be too much for sister Venus Williams, 35. Serena beat Venus during the round of 16 at Wimbledon.

The Washington Post reported the Monday meet up between the two had the younger Williams sister sailing past the older. The match earned Serena a spot in the Wimbledon quarterfinals.

Meeting up on Centre court, Serena took an early lead against her sister seeing 6-4, in the first round between the two. While the second round play was 6-3 between the two, squarely placing the younger Williams sister in the quarterfinals.

While the first set between the two was decidedly Serena's, Venus made an attempt during the second set between the two. During the second set Venus double-faulted, which ensured her sister winning not only the match, but the set.

The BBC reported the match only took an hour and eight minutes, which ensured Serena's place in the quarterfinals. Serena may face number 23 Victoria Azarenka or number 30 Belinda Bencic in the quarterfinals depending on their match outcome.
