Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Ricardo Pereira's 81st minute screamer helped Leicester City hand Manchester City its second consecutive loss, a 2-1 setback Wednesday at King Power Stadium in Leicester, England.

The Sky Blues now have as many Premier League defeats in the past five days as they did during their entire 2017-2018 campaign.

City drew first blood from Beranrdo Silva in the 14th minute but could not hold onto the lead. Marc Albrighton drilled the equalizer just five minutes later to make the score 1-1 at halftime.

Both sides played an even second act until Leicester broke through late.

Albrighton took a corner kick in the 81st minute, which was headed away by Leroy Sane. The deflection came out to Pereira, who trapped it to the ground before running into the box and smashing a shot with his right boot. The ball sailed through defenders before going into the left corner of the net, beating a diving Ederson Moraes.

Sky Blues left back Fabian Delph went on to draw a red card in the 89th minute, forcing City to play with 10 men.
