Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Mohamed Salah netted a trio of goals to help Liverpool dominate Bournemouth 4-0 in the Premier League on Saturday at Dean Court in Bournemouth, England.
The reigning Golden Boot winner scored in the 25th, 48th and 77th minute en route to the Reds' victory. Steve Cook scored an own goal in the 68th minute for Liverpool's other tally.
"It's a fantastic win today, and it's great to get to the top of the table," Salah told Sky Sports after the win.
"I think I enjoyed the last [goal] the most, I was calm. My expectations are very high, but the most important thing is that we win each game and are top of the table."
Salah got his first score after tapping a ball into Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian blasted a shot from about 30 yards out, but the attempt was blocked by keeper Asmir Begovic. The deflection came out to Salah, who blasted a left-footed shot into the net.
His second tally came 23 minutes later after Firmino stole a ball from the Bournemouth defense. Firmino passed the ball up to Salah, who dribbled to the box while being pressured by two defenders.
Salah still managed to slip a shot into the far-post netting, beating a diving Begovic for a 2-0 lead.
The Reds went up 3-0 after Andy Robertson hit in a cross in the second half. The feed went into the box and was flicked in by Cook as he was attempting to defend.
Salah's final goal was a crafty finish. He raced into the box on the play, outpacing defenders before coming up on Begovic. The keeper dove at Salah, but the star striker dribbled away to his left. Begovic got back up on his feet to chase Salah and Nathan Ake ran to the goal to help defend. But Salah faked out the keeper once more, sending him to his feet. He then tapped in a goal with the outside of his left boot.
The Reds return to Champions League action with a game against Napoli at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Anfield in Liverpool, England.
