World Cup: Suarez, Uruguay edge Saudi Arabia

MOSCOW -- Luis Suarez scored the only goal and Uruguay edged Saudi Arabia 1-0 in FIFA World Cup Group A play in Russia's southern city of Rostov-on-Don on Wednesday, attended by 42,678 fans.

Uruguay joins Russia as the only teams to qualify for the knockout stage ahead of schedule. The two teams meet Monday in Samara.

Saurez's goal came in the first half, earning him best player of the match honors.
