World Cup: Kane's brace gives England World Cup win over Tunisia

June 18 (UPI) -- England defeated Tunisia 2-1 in a Group G match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Monday in Russia's southern city of Volgograd.

The scoring was opened by England's forward Harry Kane in the 11th minute. Tunisia's midfielder Ferjani Sassi equalized from the spot in the 35th minute. However Kane's header in the 91st minute sealed three points for England.

Another Group G match was played earlier on Monday in Sochi, between Belgium and Panama. Belgium hammered Panama 3-0 to lead the group with three points. England is second after them, also with three points. Panama and Tunisia have failed to win any points so far.

England will play their next match, vs Panama, in Nizhny Novgorod on June 24. Tunisia are to face Belgium on June 23 at Moscow's Spartak Stadium.
