May 27 (UPI) -- Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos sent a get well message to Liverpool's Mo Salah after injuring him in the Champions League final. "Sometimes football shows you it's good side and other times the bad," Ramos tweeted Saturday.

"Above all, we are fellow pros. Get well soon Salah. The future awaits you."
Salah left the pitch in the 25th minute of Real Madrid's 3-1 win against Liverpool Saturday at NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine. Ramos and Salah were battling for the ball in the first half when Ramos grabbed Salah's right arm and wedged it under his right arm. He then fell to the ground, pulling Salah with him and bending the arm awkwardly.
Salah left the game with a shoulder injury and never returned. There is no doubt that he will be able to suit up for Egypt at the 2018 World Cup.
"It's very bad for Mo, very bad for us and very bad for Egypt," Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp told reporters. "That's part of the sport. I don't like that part of the sport but it's part of the sport and things like this can happen. I don't know what would have happened if Mo could have played on, we will never know that."

Salah went to a nearby hospital for X-rays and Klopp called the injury "really serious."
Egypt battles Uruguay in the Group stage of the 2018 World Cup at 8 a.m. June 15 at Ekaterinburg Arena in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
"Diagnosis shows simply that he suffered an injury in the shoulder joint ligaments. Time expected for treatment is two weeks, God willing," Egypt's sports minister Khaled Abdul Aziz wrote in a Facebook post.
