May 21 (UPI) -- Zlatan Ibrahimovic slapped an opponent in the face and was ejected during the Los Angeles Galaxy's 1-0 win against the Montreal Impact Monday in Montreal.

The slap occurred in the 39th minute of the match. Ibrahimovic was standing near Michael Petrasso on the play. The defender backed up and stepped on Ibrahimovic's foot. The striker reacted by slapping him in the face. Both players fell to the ground after the exchange.
