"He got injured but is doing well, walking as normal," Zidane said. "It is great that he can walk already and that shows his drive and ambition to get back and play every game. It would be perfect to have him back for the Villarreal game. it is a knock, but he didn't damage his fibula. His ankle is ok."

Madrid faces Villarreal in La Liga at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19 at Estadio de la Ceramica in Villarreal, Spain. The Spanish squad battles Sevilla and Celta Vigo before that matchup.

Ronaldo is expected to play against Liverpool on May 26 in the Champions League final.

"I am not thinking about injuries or what can happen to the players before the Champions League final," Zidane said. "Sometimes they need a rest but I'm not worried about injuries. Playing whilst thinking about the injuries you can get is no good. You have to be positive."

"When what happened with Cristiano Ronaldo happened, and it was something minor, the best we could hope is that the player recovers as soon as possible and that's that. It is football, you can't control it. Tomorrow the players that fit the bill will feature."

Zidane said Isco trained as normal and Dani Carvajal needs more time to recover. They are also expected to play in the final, according to Zidane. Isco is dealing with a shoulder injury and Carvajal has a hamstring ailment.
