March 1 (UPI) -- German midfielder Leroy Sane had a goal and an assist Thursday in Manchester City's win against Arsenal.

City left Emirates Stadium in London with a 3-0 Premier League triumph. Sane used his long legs and velcro control to whip around the Gunners' defense repeatedly.

His prowess resulted in production just 15 minutes into the match. Sane took the ball on the left side of the pitch, while standing between two Arsenal defenders. He made one miss, before taking the ball toward goal. Sane blew by another defender before reaching the heart of the Gunners' line of resistance. When he got to the top of the box, he spotted Bernardo Silva on the right side and fed him with a quick pass.

Silva ducked inside, pushing the ball central with the outside of his left foot, before firing a shot toward the far post. The shot bent just inside the goal, beating a diving Petr Cech.

City's other Silva scored in the 28th minute. Sane dribbled down the left flank, deep in Arsenal territory, at the beginning of that sequence. He then doubled back, toying with a group of defenders with the ball on a string. Sane then sniped in a ball to Sergio Aguero inside the box. Aguero hit Spanish midfielder David Silva as he ran in. Silva used his right foot to touch the pass away from a defender, before finishing off a score with his left boot.

Sane put in his own goal in the 33rd minute of the match.

David Silva fired a pass past midfield to Aguero. The Argentinian sprinted past the Arsenal defense before feeding midfielder Kevin De Bruyne. De Bruyne hit a beautiful one-timer into the box for defender Kyle Walker, who crossed it into Sane.

Sane stabbed at the ball with his left foot, fooling Cech and defender Hector Bellerin into thinking he was going to hit it one touch. Instead, both Gunners players fell to the ground, allowing Sane to calmly tap a goal into the net.

"We had a really good first half. We played really well altogether," Sane said after the match, according to the team website.

"We scored three goals - two counter-attacks. Every one of us played the ball really well at a fast speed."
