Feb. 6 (UPI) -- The Brooklyn Nets are trading center Tyler Zeller to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for guard Rashad Vaughn.
League sources informed ESPN and Yahoo of the deal on Monday night. The Bucks and Nets have since confirmed the trade. Milwaukee is also sending a future second round draft pick to the Nets. Zeller could join the Bucks as soon as tomorrow, according to reports.
Zeller, 28, averaged 7.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this season for Brooklyn. The No. 17 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft spent his first two seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers before joining the Boston Celtics in 2014. He joined the Nets last offseason. Vaughn was the No., 17 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. He has spent three years with the Bucks, averaging 3.1 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. He is averaging 2.7 points per game this season.
League sources told ESPN that the Bucks will send the second-round pick to the Nets if it falls between picks No. 31 and No. 47 in the 2018 NBA Draft. If it does not, the Phoenix Suns will obtain the pick as part of the Eric Bledsoe trade. If the Bucks pick does not convey, the team will send an unprotected 2020 second-round pick to the Nets.
Zeller will join former North Carolina teammate John Henson in Milwaukee's front court.
