He left a spade symbol for the caption. The photo has more than 3.7 million likes.

Ronaldo has not been training with Real Madrid and instead worked out alone on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"The team have trained at Real Madrid City in continued preparation for the LaLiga showdown with Barcelona, to be played at the Santiago Bernabéu this Saturday," the club said in a statement.

"Ball work took centre stage in a session which saw Zidane involve Under-19s goalkeeper Moha. Cristiano Ronaldo trained alone out on the pitch, both with and without the ball, whilst Luca continued his recovery process."
