Real Madrid: Los Blancos, wives visit mosque in traditional clothes

Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Several Real Madrid players and wives visited the Sheikh Zayed Mosque this week in Abu Dhabi.

The mosque is the largest in the United Arab Emirates.

Some of the visits came after Los Blancos beat Al Jazira 2-1 in a Club World Cup semifinal matchup Wednesday at Zayed Sports City Stadium. The stadium is about 1.5 miles from the mosque.

"Enjoying the victory," Real Madrid forward Lucas Vazquez posted Thursday on social media. He included a photo of himself wearing traditional all-white clothing.

The wives and girlfriends of Theo Hernandez, Marcelo and Keylor Navas also took in the local attractions. Adriana Pozueco, Clarice Alves and Andrea Salas posted to social media when they took the tour of the mosque.

Pozueco and Alves posted about their visit on Tuesday. Pozueco is dating Hernandez. Salas is married to Navas and Alves is married to Marcelo.

Star defender Sergio Ramos posted a photo on Thursday as he explored the Louvre Abu Dhabi art and civilization museum.

Los Brancos beat Al Jazira on the strength of goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and super-substitute Gareth Bale. Real Madrid faces Germio at noon Saturday in the Club World Cup final in Abu Dhabi.
