Champions League: Draw includes Barcelona vs. Chelsea, PSG vs. Real Madrid

Dec. 11 (UPI) -- The Round of 16 UEFA Champions League draw features some impressive matchups.

Results from the draw of the super teams occurred on Monday morning at UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

Two of the most high-profile matchups: Barcelona against Chelsea and Real Madrid against Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid has won three of the last four Champions League titles, but is 2-2-2 against Paris Saint-Germain in European competition.

Barcelona battles Chelsea on Feb. 20 at Stamford Bridge and on March 14 at Camp Nou. Real Madrid faces Paris Saint-Germain on Feb. 14 at the Bernabeu and on March 6 at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

"I think it's a good draw," PSG manager Unai Emery said, according to UEFA. "I believe we can compete with Real Madrid. To make something great in the UEFA Champions League, you need to beat the best teams. The last 16 is a good moment to play such teams. We'll need to show our character, our tactical skills and our talent. Talent is very important."

Juventus faces Tottenham while Manchester City battles Basel on Feb. 13 and March 7. Liverpool battles Porto on Feb. 14 and March 6. Manchester United faces Sevilla and Roma battles Shakhtar Donetsk on Feb. 21 and March 13.

Bayern Munich faces Besiktas on Feb. 20 and March 14.

United, PSG, Roma, Barca, Liverpool, City, Besiktas and Tottenham served as the group winners for the 16-team pot.

"We knew there was a high chance we could get Chelsea and so it was, and it's welcome," Barca director of institutional relations Guillermo Amor told UEFA. "If you want to win the thing, you have to beat everyone. It's going to be a great knockout tie. We'll go into it with optimism, confidence and a huge desire to get through."

The final match is planned for May 26 at Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kiev, Ukraine.

Real Madrid won the 2017 Champions League Final, beating Juventus 4-1. Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in the match, played on March 6 at the National Stadium of Wales in Cardiff. Real also won the cup in 2016 in Milan, Italy against Atletico. Barcelona won the Champions League in 2015 against Juventus in Berlin.
