Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Analysts simulated more than 10,000 seasons of European football to predict the 2017-18 season.

A team from Kroon Casino conducted the study, predicting the performance of the world's best football teams. The team found that Harry Kane could be the all-time top scorer before his 29th birthday. He tracked out to score 392 goals by the end of his career. Wayne Rooney is predicted to score 242 goals before he retires. Rooney would fall short of Alan Shearer's record of 260 scores.

Manchester City has a 58 percent shot at winning the Premier League. Barcelona is a 98 percent favorite to win La Liga and Bayern Munich is a 95 percent favorite to win the Bundesliga. Juventus is an 86 percent favorite to be crowned Serie A champs.

The most recent data up to October of 2017 was used in the analysis.

Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku is projected to score 304 goals by the end of his Premier League stint, finishing ahead of Shearer but behind Kane. Manchester City's Sergio Aguero is expected to net 222 goals. Sherer retired in 2006 and has been the Premier League's top scorer since 1994. The goal scoring predictions assume that each player retires at the same age as Shearer, who was 35 at the start of his final season.

Aguero is the No. 12 scorer of all time, with 128 goals. The 29-year-old has six more seasons until he reaches the same age as Shearer was when he retired. Lukaku is just 24.

The analysts predicted Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal would finish behind Manchester City in the Premier League. Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Swansea City are most likely to be relegated.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla are expected to place in the top five of La Liga.
