Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Star striker Romelu Lukaku has agreed to pay a $450 fine to Los Angeles police following his arrest this summer for noise complaints.

Police in Beverly Hills responded to five noise complaints at a house he was renting in the city this summer, according to the BBC.

The 24-year-old did not appear in court in Los Angeles following the arrest. Instead his lawyer, Robert Humphreys, entered a plea of not guilty for his client. The case was adjourned on Tuesday by commissioner Jane Godfrey at Los Angeles Airport Courthouse.

He is paying the fine to reimburse the police for the multiple call outs to the home, according to multiple reports.

By paying the fine, Lukaku is taking a disturbance of the peace charge. He'll have his case heard on Dec. 18 at the Los Angeles Airport Courthouse. The charge was reduced from a misdemeanor. That charge could have carried a six-month jail sentence, according to ESPN.

Lukaku was arrested in July, a week before he signed to leave Everton for Manchester United. His new team paid Everton more than $96 million for the Belgium striker. Lukaku was featured in several videos and photos this summer at a lavish Southern California home. He also trained in the area with new teammate Paul Pogba.

The United striker has 11 goals in 10 games this season for United.

Lukaku did not train on Monday with Belgium as he underwent an MRI for his ankle. He played Saturday in United's 4-1 win against Newcastle at Old Trafford.
