RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Brazilian soccer sensation Neymar scored just 14 seconds into the host nation's semifinal game Wednesday against Honduras in Rio de Janeiro.

Neymar blocked a clearance from a defender on the play, before corralling the ball inside the box and somehow hitting it into net. But he wasn't so spry after the shot, as he went down on the pitch holding his chest. Neymar recovered quickly after being taken out on a stretcher. He returned to the match to fill up the stat sheet with two assists. Watch the replay of the game on the NBC Olympics website.

The previous record for the fastest goal in Olympic history belonged to Canadian Janine Beckie, who scored 20 seconds into a match during Rio 2016 women's play.

Brazil won its match 5-0 and will face either Germany or Nigeria in the final in a quest for its first ever gold medal for men's soccer.
