RIO DE JANEIRO, June 14 (UPI) -- Dunga will have to dig out his résumé once again after being released from his duties Tuesday as the manager for the Brazilian national team.

The Brazilians disappointed in Copa America Centenario, after being eliminated 1-0 by Peru Sunday in the group stage.

"CBF announced on Tuesday that decided dissolving the technical staff of the Brazilian national team. The teams coordinator, Gilmar Rinaldi, coach Dunga and his entire staff leave their positions," CBF said in a statement.

"The decision was taken in agreement during a meeting this afternoon and from now the CBF starts the process of choosing the new technical staff of the Brazilian national team," the statement said. "CBF is thankful for the dedication, seriousness and commitment of the staff during the performance of their work."

The CBF has approached Corinthians manager Tite to replace Dunga, according to ESPN Brasil. Tite could also claim the reign of the Olympic team for the Brazil games this August.

Dunga could now regret not fighting to clear star Neymar for the Copa America. The Barcelona superstar was sorely missed, as Brazil failed to create scoring opportunities. The Brazilians could only score against Haiti in its three Copa America matches.

Dunga captained Brazil to a 1994 World Cup and coached the team from 2006 to 2010, before rejoining in July 2014 following its disappointing World Cup knockout.
