Steven Gerrard shows off shooting skills

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard still can shoot with scintillating style.

F2Freestylers posted a video on its YouTube account Tuesday, showing off the 35-year-olds pristine power and placement used in his most memorable goals.

Billy Wingrove and Jeremy Lynch joined Gerrard in the shoot, each also whacking in impressive benders and rockets.

"Without question one of the SWEETEST strikers of a football that has ever graced the beautiful game & that we have ever witnessed! A true legend & we saw first hand EXACTLY why he has scored as many screamers in his career as he has! What a LEGEND!!!!! Unlimited respect for this guy's Tekkers! Stevie, you are simply the man! Love peace & tekkers, Billy & Jezza," Wingrove and Lynch wrote.

Gerrard, now playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy, scored 120 league goals from 1998 to 2014. He scored 186 times in all leagues in that same timeframe.

Gerrard posted a photo to promote the video on Wednesday with the caption: "Head over to @TheF2YouTube channel to see what I got up to wth the lads and @adidasUK."

Gerrard scored three times and had four assists in 17 games for the Galaxy this season.
