Former players inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame(18 images)
Six players were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame at the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown, N.Y., on Sunday. Harold Baines, the late Roy Halladay, Edgar Martinez, Mike Mussina, Mariano Rivera and Lee Smith make up the 2019 inductee class.
Rivera, who recorded a Major League record 652 times in his career, gave the final speech. "First of all, I don't understand why I always have to be the last," Rivera joked. "I kept saying that for the last 17 years of my career: 'Why do I have to be the last one?' I guess being the last one was special." Photo by George Napolitano/UPI
