Horses and trainers hold morning workouts and make other preparations for the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks races at the storied Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. The 149th running of the Kentucky Derby will take place on Saturday, with the Kentucky Oaks on Friday.
