Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty had no mercy for multiple Santas who took the ice during a game against the Detroit Red Wings.
He did everything he could to jingle the Kris Kringles during an intermission on Tuesday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
The bright orange bearded character also sported a Santa Claus outfit and used a wreath as a weapon during the assaults. He skated out from the tunnel and immediately knocked one Santa off of his skates and onto the ice. He then chased down a second Santa for a big hit against the boards.
Gritty was jokingly escorted toward the penalty box, where he picked up a wreath. He then bolted away from the area and hit a Santa in the head with the wreath, making him fall on his back. He also threw the wreath at the Santas.
