The three-time All-Star has two goals and 10 assists for 12 points in 18 games this season. Subban logged 16 goals and 43 assists for 43 points in a career and league-high 82 games last season for Nashville. The 29-year-old is signed through the 2021-2022 season.

Subban, who is dealing with an upper back injury, is now ineligible for the Predators' next three games.

The Predators also put winger Viktor Arvidsson on injured reserve on Monday after he sustained an injury on Saturday. Arvidsson is expected to miss the next six-to-eight weeks with a broken thumb. The Predators activated defenseman Dan Hamhuis on Thursday.

Nashville battles the Arizona Coyotes at 9 p.m. on Thursday at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz.
