Montreal Canadiens land Adam Cracknell from New York Rangers

The Montreal Canadiens acquired Adam Cracknell from the New York Rangers on Thursday in exchange for fellow forward Peter Holland.

Cracknell was held without a point in four games with the Rangers this season.

The 32-year-old recorded two goals and one assist in 15 games with Hartford of the American Hockey League. He will report to the Laval Rocket.

Holland collected eight goals and 10 assists in 20 games with Laval this season.

The 26-year-old recorded five goals and seven assists in 48 games in 2016-17 split between the Arizona Coyotes and Toronto Maple Leafs. He has scored 35 goals and set up 46 others in 243 career contests since being selected by the Anaheim Ducks with the 15th overall pick of the 2009 draft.
