Goaltender Robin Lehner and the Buffalo Sabres have agreed on a one-year contract worth $4 million, the team announced Tuesday.
Lehner, 26, posted the ninth-highest save percentage (.920) for a Sabres goalie with at least 40 games played last season. The former second-round pick won a career-high 23 games (23-26-8) with a 2.68 goals against average.
Lehner's .921 save percentage over the last two seasons in 80 games with Buffalo is the sixth best for goalies with at least 50 games played during that timeframe.
The Gothenburg, Sweden native owns a career record of 58-71-26 with a .918 save percentage and a 2.76 GAA over 166 career games with the Sabres and Ottawa Senators.
