Domi calls the campaign a #FundRazor, which supports research for Type 1 diabetes.

He was diagnosed with diabetes at 12-years-old. Domi originally created the campaign to raise $25,000, which was surpassed in one day. He promised to match each donation up to $10,000. All of the proceeds support the JDRF Revolution Ride to Defeat Diabetes.

The JDRF Revolution Ride to Defeat Diabetes "is a high-energy stationary cycling event taking place in cities across Canada," according to its official website. "This event will challenge Canadians to go further to defeat diabetes."

Domi live-streamed the ceremony on Instagram. Photos from the event are also on his official website.

The Arizona Coyotes donated $5,000 to the cause.

Domi had the beard trim at Starks Barber in Toronto. The 22-year-old had nine goals and 29 assists last season after posting 18 goals and 34 assists during his rookie campaign. He had a $832,500 base salary last season, according to Sportrac.

"There are more than eleven million Canadians living with diabetes or pre-diabetes and every three minutes another Canadian is diagnosed," Domi wrote on his GoFundMe page.

"I'm looking to raise $100,000 and I'll be matching every dollar contribution up to $10,000, with all proceeds going towards JDRF Revolution Ride to Defeat Diabetes. Learn more at jdrfrevolution.ca and share on social media with the hashtag #jdrfrevolution."

According to a news release, the first 100 contributors to give $100 or more will receiver a personalized 8x10 autographed photo of Domi. The first 12 donations of at least $25,000 get an autographed Team Canada jersey LE Nike 100 years. The first two donations of at least $5,000 got an autographed, game-used, stick from Domi.
